Wedding Hair

Normally brides will ask for something "messy" "loose" "bedhead" kindda look, but i absolutely love when a bride sits in my chair and lets me have fun with her idea. For example, this bride asked for an up do with a vintage 60's feel, but with a modern twist. So i gave her a big teased beehive, but with loose beachy waves (still keeping that so cal feel) She couldn't be happier! even though you cant really see her makeup here, i did a natural bronzy look to make her even more beautiful. This was definitely a fun bride to take care of:)

Bright colored hair for Spring!

Everyone seems to be inspired by Rihanna, Nikki Minaj, and of course Lady Gaga. You're starting to see all the bright colors in clothing, home decor, and  hair as well this year. Ive always loved experimenting all the colors on my own hair, and I finally was able to show my creativity through others as well.

Here's some of my work that I've been able to do these past couple of months: Enjoy!
I lightened all of her hair with Up to 7 and 20 vol.
Then foiled some pieces with Punky Color Orange, but i blended the roots so we could get the yellow tones fading into orange.
I did the Ombre technique on her and used Joico pink on her ends.
Left her base her natural color.
I did the top half of her hair black, used 01B SEQ. And for the bottom half i lightened it first
and used CHI purple.
Her whole head was dyed jet black, so i lightened it with Up to 7 with 30 vol.
And used Pravanna red. Left it on for 45min under the heat.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures, and if you have any questions just email me!

ombre'

So everyone is talking about the new trend that's ALL over the runway and now even on housewives! Some clients love it and some think it just looks like you have awful roots. So here are a couple of my clients i did it on:

There is also another technique by Redken which is very similar to the Ombre' tchnique, the only difference is that it's much more blended which looks more natural, and they call it Illumination. I will post pictures of an illumination technique as soon as I try it!
